Wisteria Amethyst Falls (PBR)

Showing off impressive lilac to purple flowers in Spring and Summer, Wisteria Amethyst Falls is a beautiful American variety of Wisteria that is less aggressive and smaller growing than the Asiatic types of Wisteria making it a perfect choice for small or narrow spaces.

Amethyst Falls begins flowering in Spring, often on bare stems, and will repeat flower in flushes throughout Summer when the delightful flowers make a magnificent contrast against the lacy green foliage. In Autumn the foliage of this beautiful vine will turn golden yellow before falling in Winter making this a feature that will complement your garden in every season.

As with all Wisteria this beautiful climber can be trained to climb posts or trellises; and it also looks fantastic when allowed to trail over a retaining wall or an embankment. One of our favourite uses for this magnificent plant is training it up a tripod, making a stunning feature in the garden or pot.

For best results plant in a moist free draining soil, in a sunny to partly shaded position. A light trim following flowering, and an annual feed of a general purpose slow release fertiliser in early Spring will ensure a neat and healthy growth habit.

CAUTION Harmful if eaten

Please note: These plants are beginning their Autumn/Winter dormancy and as such will be losing their foliage. Simply plant it out into the planned position and it will now stay dormant until the warmer weather of Spring arrives and new shoots and foliage will begin to appear.
