Tillandsia Pink Quill Paradise

Reputed to be the best form of Tillandsia cyanea ever produced, Tillandsia Pink Quill Paradise is an improved clone that shows off large flower bracts that will last up to 6 months in colour, and will produce stunning 5cm blue flowers over a 6 week period.

Tillandsia Paradise is a true showstopper; the soft, exotic looking silvery-green leaves form an attractive rosette shape, and it's easy-to-care-for nature makes it perfect for adding a bit of color and interest to indoor spaces. The plant's most eye-catching feature is its brightly coloured bract, which resembles a quill, and from this bract, the beautiful purple flowers appear. This bloom can last for several weeks, and the plant will often produce pups (baby plants) after it flowers.

Tillandsia Pink Quill loves bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. Like most air plants, it thrives on humidity. It’s important to water it properly by soaking it in water for about 20-30 minutes once a week, and in drier conditions, you may need to water more often. Always make sure to let it dry upside down after soaking to avoid rot. After the plant flowers, it will produce pups at the base. You can gently separate these pups when they’re large enough and root them into new air plant arrangements, or pot them shallowly into smaller pots. Please note: Despite being an air plant, the Pink Quill gets all its nutrients and moisture through its leaves, which absorb water vapor from the air. It's best not to bury the base in soil as it thrives without it!
