Featuring beautiful silver-green foliage held on contrasting fine black stems, this vigorous variety creates a dense, elegant barrier that provides year-round privacy, shelter and structure. Under ideal growing conditions, Screenmaster can grow up to an impressive 1 metre per year, making it particularly popular for establishing quick-growing hedges, windbreaks and natural privacy screens.
Hardy and adaptable, Pittosporum Screenmaster thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it requires minimal care and will tolerate periods of dry weather. Regular trimming encourages thick, bushy growth and helps maintain a neat, compact hedge. For best results, begin pruning while plants are young rather than waiting until they reach their desired height.
Ideal for boundary planting, screening unsightly areas, creating garden rooms or establishing a beautiful evergreen backdrop, Screenmaster is a versatile landscaping favourite. For hedging, we recommend spacing plants approximately 1–1.5 metres apart, depending on the desired density. Apply mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, and water regularly while plants become established.
