Photinia Robusta is a spectacular, fast-growing evergreen shrub renowned for its brilliant red new growth and lush, glossy dark green foliage. Producing vibrant flushes of fiery red leaves that gradually mature to a rich deep green, this attractive shrub creates a stunning display of colour throughout the year. Clusters of delicate white flowers appear in Spring, adding an extra touch of beauty to this versatile and reliable garden favourite.

With its naturally dense, bushy growth habit, Photinia Robusta is an outstanding choice for hedging, screening and creating attractive evergreen boundaries. Perfect for providing privacy, shelter and year-round colour, this vigorous grower can be regularly clipped to maintain a neat, compact hedge of around 1.5 metres tall and wide, or allowed to grow larger for a more substantial screen. Regular trimming encourages fresh flushes of brilliant red foliage, ensuring a colourful display throughout the growing season. Photinia Robusta also makes an excellent feature shrub and can be grown in large decorative pots and containers for patios, courtyards and outdoor entertaining areas.

Extremely hardy and easy to grow, Photinia Robusta thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil. Frost tolerant and drought hardy once established, this low-maintenance shrub is ideal for a wide range of garden conditions. For best results, trim regularly to encourage dense, bushy growth and fertilise during Spring to promote healthy foliage and vibrant new growth. A fantastic choice for gardeners wanting a fast-growing, colourful and dependable evergreen hedge or screen.
