Also known as New Zealand Flax, Phormium Anna Red is a striking upright growing grassy perennial that features dramatically coloured dark purple foliage. Ideal as a feature planting in a pot or planted en masse for a stunning effect, Phormium are a very low fuss plant that requires very little maintenance.

Phormium are a hardy grass that is widely used in Mediterranean style gardens where the upright arching growth habit cretes a dramatic contrast against other shrubs. Suitable for a wide range of soils, the darker foliaged Phormiums grow well in partly shadeed position as the foliage may burn if exposed to extremely high temperatures during Summer.
