Escallonia Iveyi is a beautiful, fast-growing evergreen shrub renowned for its abundance of fragrant, pure white flowers that create a spectacular display throughout Summer. With its attractive, glossy dark green foliage and naturally dense, bushy growth habit, this hardy shrub is an excellent choice for creating lush evergreen hedges, attractive garden borders and effective privacy screens.

Versatile and easy to grow, Escallonia Iveyi is particularly well suited to coastal gardens, tolerating salt-laden winds, exposed positions and hot, dry conditions once established. Both frost hardy and drought tolerant, this reliable shrub will quickly develop into a dense, attractive hedge that can be regularly clipped for a neat, formal appearance or left to grow naturally for a softer, more informal look. Its masses of lightly fragrant white flowers also attract bees and other beneficial pollinators to the garden.

For best results, plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in well-drained soil. Escallonia prefers good air circulation and is best suited to areas without prolonged high humidity. Water regularly while establishing and trim after flowering to maintain a compact, bushy habit. We recommend planting approximately 70-80cm apart for hedging and borders to create a beautiful, dense evergreen display.
