Conifer Smaragd, also known as Emerald Green Thuja, is a stunning evergreen conifer prized for its rich emerald-green foliage and naturally elegant, narrow conical growth habit. One of the most popular ornamental conifers, Smaragd maintains its beautiful vibrant green colour throughout the year, providing outstanding structure, colour and year-round interest in the garden.

With its dense, compact foliage and naturally neat, upright shape, Conifer Smaragd is an excellent choice for formal hedging, privacy screening, garden borders and feature planting. Its attractive, symmetrical form also makes it particularly impressive when planted in decorative pots, positioned beside entrances or used to create striking architectural accents in contemporary and traditional landscapes. Naturally slow to moderate growing, Smaragd requires very little pruning to maintain its attractive shape.

Hardy, frost tolerant and relatively low maintenance, this versatile conifer thrives in a full sun to partly shaded position in well-drained soil. Once established, it will tolerate occasional dry periods, although regular watering during prolonged hot, dry weather will help maintain its lush green foliage. Ideal for cooler climates, Conifer Smaragd is a reliable landscaping plant that will provide a beautiful, permanent feature in your garden or patio for many years to come.
