Salvia Velour Pink

Also known as Mexican Sage, Salvia Velour Pink is a very pretty cultivar of the purple flowered variety. The velvety pale pink blooms and aromatic foliage of this hardy Salvia are a real feature from late Summer right through till the heavy frost arrives in Winter, making this a long lasting display in the garden. Birds, butterflies and bees absolutely love the flowers on this plant and will visit them with great regularity.

This easy to grow Salvia thrives in a full sun position but will grow well in part shade, and like most Salvias is equally at home in dry conditions or with regular watering. A good cut back in Winter is all that is required to keep this beautiful plant looking good for most of the year.

Ideal for perennial borders Salvias are a riot of colour from spring through to autumn. Usually quite drought tolerant and only needing watering during extremely dry periods these perennials are a very good choice for waterwise flower beds and difficult spots and will attract birds and bees into your garden. A good pruning after flowering will ensure strong bushy regrowth for the next season. Most Salvias are suitable for a full sun to part shade position and require very little water once established. Perfect for pots and containers.
