Salvia Lake Como

Salvia Lake Como is a beautiful flowering perennial that produces an abundance of luminous lavender-blue to soft milky-blue tubular flowers, beautifully contrasted against striking dark purple-black calyces. The elegant flower spikes rise above attractive green foliage, creating a stunning display of colour throughout the warmer months while attracting bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.

With its naturally compact, bushy growth habit and impressive flowering performance, Salvia Lake Como is perfect for garden beds, borders, cottage gardens and decorative patio pots. The delicate blue flowers and dramatic dark calyces create a striking contrast, adding colour, texture and interest to mixed plantings. Its long flowering season and easy-care nature make it a fantastic addition to any garden.

Hardy and relatively low maintenance, Salvia Lake Como thrives in a full sun to partly shaded position in well-drained soil. Once established, it is tolerant of heat and short dry periods. Regular removal of spent flowers and a light trim will encourage fresh growth, maintain a neat, compact shape and promote an extended display of beautiful blooms throughout the season.
