Sage Broadleaf

An essential addition to a herb garden, Sage Broadleaf is an attractive perennial that features aromatic silvery foliage and attractive lavender flowers that bees and other beneficial insects love. Once considered the the most respected of medicinal herbs, Sage can be used for a wide range of different medicinal uses, and it is also an extremely versatile culinary herb that can be used fresh or dried. Both the flowers and foliage can be used to add a savoury flavour to meats, stuffings and all sorts of other dishes, and any number of aromatic projects where the refreshing fragrance is an excellent stand alone and also blends well with other aromats.

This tough plant features tiny lavender/purple flowers in Summer and will grow quite well under dry conditions, however for better results regular watering will encourage stronger growth. Plants will benefit from regular harvesting and stop them becoming woody.
