Rose Mikado

A lovely 'old gold' Polyantha type of Rose, Mikado displays masses of semi-double flowers in clusters of up to 5 to 10 blooms. With a prolific flowering habit this disease resistant shrub will be smothered in blooms from early Spring till the last days of Autumn. Ideal for massed plantings, this Rose loves a cut back to keep it compact during the growing season.

Vigorous and hardy, Shrub Roses provide a colourful display from late Spring to late Autumn, and will often spot flower even into Winter. With a long flowering season the medium sized bushes produce flowers that open continuously from small buds and ensure that there are nearly always some flowers evident. These Roses are well suited to mass plantings and hedging, and taller varieties make wonderful climbers of smaller stature than traditional climbers. These Roses are no longer classified by traditional terms as most of them have been bred using both Hybrid Tea and Floribunda type of Roses so they can have a flower type like either of their parents.
