Pelargonium- Lime Scented Geranium

A vigorous but smaller growing Pelargonium, Lime Scented Geranium is an easy care plant with delightfully aromatic foliage that features a strong lime fragrance and flavour. Shwing off pretty mauve/pink flowers, Lime Scented Geranium is an edible variety. Dried crushed leaves can be used to flavour anything where a fresh citrusy taste is required and dried or fresh leaves are also useful for tisanes or teas, potpourri, sleep pillows or repelling moths and other insects in cupboards and storage crates. We recommend planting this attractive plant near pathways where the aromatic oils from the foliage can be brushed against, and the attractive lavender coloured flowers can be admired. Tip prune the foliage by regularly crushing handfuls of leaves to allow even more volatile oils to be released.

Pelargoniums are extremely heat mind and these compact bushy plants grow and thrive throughout nearly any weather. Commonly known as Geraniums, these hardy plants show off amazingly bright flowers for most of the year and make fantastic potted specimens or border plants where their compact growth habit means they maintain a neat and tidy shape without any pruning. Geraniums will cope with dry periods, but for best results water regularly during dry spells. Prefers a well drained soil in a sunny position but will grow well in a partly shaded position.
