Maple- Acer Osakazuki

Considered by many to have the most intense crimson colour of all the Japanese Maples, Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki' has a naturally attractive vase shaped growth habit and shows off bright green foliage from Spring through Summer. As the seasons change, the foliage transforms into vivid shades of fiery red and glowing orange in Autumn, making it a standout feature in gardens and landscapes of all sizes.

Perfect for the smaller garden, the Japanese Maples prefer a full sun to partly shaded position in cooler climates and will benefit from protection from drying or freezing winds. The delicate foliage may suffer from scorch in hot dry Summers, so a sheltered position is preferred to help prevent this. For best results keep well watered and mulched. Like most deciduous trees, Maples produce more brilliant colours in a cooler climate, especially when frosts occur.
