Maple- Acer Autumn Red

Widely regarded as one of the best cultvars of the stunning Canadian Maples, Acer Autumn Red is an elegant rounded deciduous tree that will provide colour and beautiful form all year round. Also known as October Glory or April Glory, depending on the country you are in, Autumn Red is an outstanding feature tree. Providing valuable shade in Summer, Autumn Red holds it's green leaves longer than other varieties before encompassing vivid shades of orange-red and fiery crimson in Autumn putting on a magnificent display before going dormant for the Winter months.

Ideal when used as a feature tree, this variety is particularly useful as a beautiful avenue tree, and will create a wonderful shade tree for larger backyards.

Acers grow well in a variety of soils, but like most deciduous trees the best Autumn colour will be achieved in cooler climates. Will cope with occasional dry periods once established, but these Maples will grow better with regular watering over Summer.
