Hydrangea Spring Collection 1

Our Hydrangea Spring Collection 1 has one each of the following three varieties (separately labelled):

Alphengluhen - Also known as Hydrangea Glowing Embers, truly lives up to its name with its intensely vibrant pink blooms. This striking variety adds a bold splash of color to any garden, making it a standout feature in borders, containers, or as a flowering hedge.

Le Cygne- Aptly named ' The White Swan; this striking, strong-flowering variety known for its large, pure white blooms. Unlike many other Hydrangeas, its flowers remain consistently white regardless of soil pH, offering a reliable and elegant display throughout the flowering season. A beautiful choice for adding brightness and contrast to shaded garden areas or floral arrangements.

Altona - A vigorous, large-growing variety known for its impressively large flower heads and distinctive serrated petals. The blooms display a striking deep blue in acidic soils, while turning a vibrant pink in alkaline conditions—making it a dynamic and eye-catching addition to the garden.

Hydrangea are reliable shrubs that produce a fantastic display every Summer with clusters of pink, blue or white flowers that are hard to miss, plus their large leaves give a lush feeling that will liven up any corner of the garden. Now with breeders producing smaller plants and different coloured varieties they are among the showiest of summer-autumn flowering plants. Intensity of the flower colour will vary depending on the soil pH and can be altered by using ‘pinking’ or blueing’ fertilisers. Prefers morning sun and afternoon shade, however, they do not do well in heavy shade. Suitable for large pots or containers.

Now is the perfect time to plant our 75mm Hydrangea pots. Propagated last year, these now dormant little beauties are bursting into Spring leaf to create a fantastic display for Summer.
