The perfect accompaniment for anyone who explores the culinary arts; our Herb Collection will have 1 each of the following 3 varieties (separately labelled):

Oregano (Origanum vulgare)- a versatile culinary herb that is also known for it's medicinal qualities. Perfect for stews and sauces, Oregano is particularly popular in Mediterranean dishes, and is also known as the 'Pizza Herb', but it is used in a wide range of dishes and has created a variety of classic flavour combinations. Used both fresh and dried, the leaves of this plant are extremely flavourful, with fresh leaves being sweeter and less pungent than dried leaves. This tough groundcover plant features pretty pink flowers in Summer and will grow quite well under dry conditions, however for better results regular watering will encourage stronger growth. Plants will benefit from regular harvesting and stop them becoming woody. Oregano also has a number of medicinal uses and Oregano oil can be used as a rub to assist with arthritis and muscular pain. Mint (Mentha × piperita) - A fast-growing, aromatic herb widely known for its refreshing scent and cooling flavor. Highly valued for both culinary and medicinal uses, Mint is commonly added to teas, desserts, salads, and savory dishes, and is also used to soothe digestive discomfort and freshen breath. Its strong aroma also makes it effective in natural pest deterrents and homemade remedies. Mint thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers a sunny to partly shaded position. It spreads vigorously through underground runners and can quickly take over garden beds if not contained, making it ideal for growing in pots or controlled areas. Grows 50-60cm H & W

Parsley Italian (Petroselinum crispum neapolitanum) - An easy to grow herb with a variety of uses, Parsley Italian is also known as flat leaf Parsley. This fast growing plant will grow well in any veggie garden or pot. Parsley is great for using with other herbs, and will enhance the flavour of anything it is mixed with, and adding just prior to serving will lift the other flavours of the dish. And of course, this variety is often used as an ornamental garnish on plates, however it is the more bitter and strongly flavoured mature leaves that are used for this. When picked quite young and tender, Parsley has a mild 'green' flavour and softer texture. Parsley is an extremely easy herb to grow and thrives in most climates and soils. For best results and a milder taste, harvest regularly and grow in a well drained fertile soil and water regularly in warmer climates. Grows 30-40cm W, 30-40cm H
