Dwarf Pear Sweet Reward

An exciting new release to the 'Summer Crunch® Pear range, Dwarf Pear Sweet Reward is a Canadian bred variety that is also known as Harrow Sweet. Valued for both its fruit quality and ornamental appeal, this multi-purpose cultivar produces excellent medium to large Pears suitable for fresh eating, cooking and preserving, offering sweet flavour and good texture across a range of uses. The yellow fruit features a red blush and some russetting and the white flesh is sweet and juicy with excellent flavour. In addition to its productivity, Sweet Reward™ has strong ornamental presence in the garden, with attractive spring blossom and a tidy tree form that suits home orchards and landscape planting. Reliable, versatile and well suited to temperate climates, it is a strong choice for gardeners seeking both beauty and yield from a single tree.

A compact fruit tree perfect for small gardens and backyards, this Dwarf Pear is grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock, resulting in a tree that grows to just 2–3 metres tall—while still producing full-sized, delicious pears.

To ensure a reliable crop, this variety requires a cross-pollinator nearby. Compatible pollinators include Buerre Bosc, Williams, Packham’s Triumph, or any other Dwarf Summer Crunch® Pears.

Plant in a full sun position in well-fertilised, free-draining soil. As with all fruiting trees, regular pruning, feeding, and consistent watering—especially during the warmer months—will help ensure a healthy tree and a generous crop.
