Dieffenbachia Memoria Corsii

Showing off broad marbled green and white leaves, Dieffenbachia Memoria Corsii is a fantastic choice for those who like to make a statement. This extremely tough indoor plant is perfect for beginners, and shows off an upright growth habit and large foliage with bold green mosaic like patterning interspersed with golden to white speckles almost creating a camouflage pattern.

Also known by the unflattering name of Dumb Cane Plant, Dieffenbachia are very hardy and will cope with too much love, and also with some neglect. Dieffenbachia prefer a warm sheltered position and some humidity, and will grow well in a high or low light situation, so long as it is out of direct sunlight it should cope well.

Perfect for pots, Dieffenbachia requires a well drained soil and prefers light humidity, however it will cope with slightly drier conditon, as will it cope with regular watering. But do not let the plant become waterlogged as this will cause fungal issues and most likely death, particularly during Winter. For best results fertilise regularly with a slow release fertiliser and repot every few years using a good quality potting mix for indoor plants.

Dieffenbachia plants contain oxalates so care needs to be taken when handling. Sap is a known irritant to the skin and under no circumstances should these plants be placed where children or animals might be able to ingest parts of the plant. The common name of Dumb Cane refers to the swelling and inflammation to the mouth and throat that can be caused if parts of this plant is eaten.
