Crepe Myrtle Plum Magic is an excellent densely formed shrub type of Crepe Myrtle. New growth emerges plum/purple before maturing into deep olive-green foliage creating a perfect backdrop for the fuchsia pink flowers.

The Magic Series® of Crepe Myrtles are more compact than their full-sized tree counterparts, offering both rounded shrub forms and upright multi-stem varieties. These deciduous shrubs feature striking deep purple or green foliage, making them standout feature plants for small spaces or bold additions to mixed garden beds in larger landscapes.

Like all Crepe Myrtles (Lagerstroemia), the Magic Series® is well adapted to the Australian climate, thriving in heat and performing well in most garden positions. These cultivars have been specifically selected for their high resistance to pests and diseases, including leaf spot and powdery mildew, making them particularly suited to humid regions.

For best performance, plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. While they are drought-tolerant once established, regular watering during extended dry periods—especially when newly planted—will support healthy growth and vibrant flowering.
