Cornus Red Stem Dogwood

An absolutely stunning medium sized shrub, Cornus Red Stem Dogwood makes a statement during the Winter months with the vibrant red stems. An easy to grow plant, this Dogwood shows off bright green stems and typical leathery green leaves during the warmer months, and attractive white flowers followed by white berries in Summer. The Autumn foliage of this delightful shrub is bright red before dropping to show off the amazing coloured stems.

Like all Cornus species, Red Stem Dogwood is very easy to grow and requires a minimum of care. Grows well in a sunny to partly shaded position and requires regular watering during hot spells. Foliage can burn in warmer climates so will do best in a sheltered position with some shade; this pest and disease resistant tree suits both formal and cottage type of gardens and grows well in most of the cooler parts of Australia.

Please note: These plants are beginning their Autumn/Winter dormancy and as such will be losing their foliage. Simply plant it out into the planned position and it will now stay dormant until the warmer weather of Spring arrives and new shoots and foliage will begin to appear.
