For best results the Claret Ash prefers full sun for best foliage color and growth and is daptable to a wide range of soil types. Not suited to waterlogged or very wet soils, it will thrive in moist, well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established, however young trees benefit from regular watering during dry periods.
