This low maintenance groundcover grows well in most soil types but for best results plant into a well drained soil in a full shade to partly shaded position. Cerastium will cope well with dry conditions but plants will look their best with supplementary watering during hot dry periods. Will tolerate cold periods but protect from frost. Trim lightly in early spring and when flowers are finished to maintain a neat and tidy shape.
