Known for their vibrant, often fragrant flowers and attractive foliage, Carnations are a traditional favourite as cut flowers. Producing long lasting flowers on tall stems; some varieties feature beautifully clove scented flowers.
Carnations are very easy to grow and these tough perennials produce masses of flowers above elegant silvery grey foliage. As these are the taller cut flower varieties, we recommend staking to help these plants maintain their elegant shape.
Ideal for pots and edging, Carnations will flower continuously throughout the season. Prefers a full sun position in well drained soil, and for best results regular watering and fertilising during the growing season is recommended. Picking flowers regularly for the vase or removing spent flowers will encourage more buds to form.
