Begonia T-Rex Saint Nick

If Begonia T-Rex Saint Nick doesn't make you think of Christmas then nothing will! With large colourful leaves Saint Nick shows off all the colours of Christmas. Emerald green with a large red centre surrounded by silver and pink polka dots make this colourful addition bright and cheery, and with a dense and shrubby growth habit this one will delight in a pot or out in a sheltered garden bed.

More cold tolerant than most Begonia Rex types, the T-Rex range also shows off larger leaves with more vivid colours as well as a more compact, naturally branched growth habit.

Perfect as a feature plant in it's own right as the unique coloration and shape make quite a statement; Begonia T-Rex also makes a wonderful addition when placed amongst other indoor or potted plants due to the outstanding colours of the foliage.

An excellent choice for pots or containers, the Rex group of Begonias like similar conditions to the flowering type of Begonias. A bright indoor position, away from direct sunlight or a sheltered outdoor spot and a rich well drained soil are a must. Regular watering is essential but plants do not like to be waterlogged, and it is best if the delicate foliage is kept dry to avoid fungal diseases.

Preferring light humidity, Begonia Rex appreciate regular watering, but do not let the plant become waterlogged as this will cause fungal issues and most likely death, particularly during Winter. In cooler climates, Begonia Rex may go dormant during Winter. Keep the soil reasonably dry by watering lightly every 4-6 weeks and the rhizomes should reshoot in Spring as the weather begins to warm.
