Symbolising hospitality, Anthuriums are the perfect gift at any time of the year; this beautiful tropical plant makes a stunning and long lasting flowering plant for inside, and it will grow quite well in a sheltered position in a warmer climate outside. Also known as Flamingo Flower, these beautiful easy care plants will make you look like an indoor plant expert with a minimum of fuss.

Perfect for pots, Anthurium prefer a draught free sheltered position and humidity. For best results select a brightly lit spot out of direct sunlight and away from air conditioning and heating vents as this will increase the risk of damage to the foliage and 'flowers'. Anthuriums kept in a poorly lit position will have fewer flowers and will experience slow and spindly growth.

Water plants only when the top of the potting mix feels dry to touch, and ensure your plant is not sitting in a saucer of water afterwards as this will cause roots to rot. Do not let the plant become waterlogged, particularly during Winter as this can cause fungal issues and most likely death. For best results fertilise every 6 months or so with a slow release fertiliser and repot every few years using a good quality potting mix for indoor plants.
