With an intensely citrus fragrance and flavour, this beautiful shrub features glossy green oval shaped leaves that can be used in teas, syrubs, baking, sauces- pretty much anywhere the floral citrus flavours will be appreciated. Essential oils distilled from the leaves is fragrant and has antifungal properties making it a very useful plant on many levels.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLemon Myrtle prefers a well drained, nutrient rich soil, and will also tolerate a fairly sandy soil but regular fertilising with a native fertiliser will be required in poor soils.
