NEW! Limited Stock

Tillandsia, also known as air plants, are a unique group of plants that belong to the Bromeliad family. Unlike most plants, they don’t require soil to grow. They get all their nutrients and moisture from the air around them through specialized cells on their leaves.

Our Tillandsia Lucky Dip consists of unnamed loose, medium sized Tillandsia.

Tillandsia plants are epiphytes, meaning they naturally grow on other surfaces like trees, rocks, or shrubs, without drawing nutrients from soil. Instead, they absorb water and nutrients from the air.
They don’t need soil to thrive, making them incredibly versatile for creative displays, such as in glass terrariums, hanging from macramé holders, or mounted on driftwood.
Variety of Forms: They come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny, delicate plants to larger, more spiky plants. Some have vibrant blooms, while others have beautiful, silvery or green foliage, and this collection is sure to get you started in this fascinating world of epiphytic plants.

Tillandsia plants prefer bright, indirect light, direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn.
They don’t need much light to thrive, but some varieties, especially when blooming, will appreciate a bit of extra light.

One of the most crucial aspects of air plant care is watering. Soak your air plant in water for about 20-30 minutes once a week. If the air is dry or in hot climates, you may need to water more frequently.
After soaking, make sure to shake off excess water and allow the plant to dry upside down to avoid water accumulating in the base, which can lead to rot.
If soaking is impracticle, misting your air plant every couple of days with a spray bottle will suffice.
Good air circulation is also essential for the wellbeing of these plants. Without it, air plants can rot or become dehydrated. A good flow of fresh air ensures they dry quickly after watering and continue absorbing moisture from the environment.

Supplied as unnamed lucky dip loose plants. If ordering multiples we will endeavour to select different plants but stock is limited so this may not be possible.

Important Reminder: While we take great care in the realistic representation of our products, many variables such as climatic conditions, natural variation or manufacturing changes may affect the precise appearance of each variety. Generally, images used are of mature specimens whilst supplied stock may be dormant or juvenile plants that will develop with time. The images are intended as a guide only.
