Nashi Pear Nijisseiki is perhaps the most common variety of Nashi Fruit grown in Australia, and is also known as 20th Century Nashi Pear. This delicious fruit has a rounded shape and bronze to green skin, and the juicy white flesh is crisp and juicy, perfectly combining the texture of an apple but the flavour of a pear. This tree can be an extremely heavy cropper and the fruit is perfect for eating fresh or made into a wonderfully tasty fruit juice.

Nijisseiki is partially self fertile, but more fruit is produced with another variety nearby. Suitable cross pollinators are Williams, Bon Chretien & Chojuro.
Requires a full sun position in a well fertilised soil. Like all produce plants, correct pruning, regular fertilising and watering will result in an abundance of fruit.
