Hippeastrum Picotee
Pack of 1

We love seeing an early Spring but some of our hippeastrum bulbs are responding to this beautiful run of warm weather and they are beginning to sprout making everything literally jumping out of their skins to be planted! As a result of this we have heavily discounted these items and they need to be handled with care and planted immediately on arrival.

Hippeastrum Picotee (Hippeastrum hybrid) has exquisite white flowers with a fine red line edging on each petal.

Celebrated for their stunning, trumpet-shaped flowers in an array of vibrant colours, you simply cannot go past Hippeastrums for creating a spectacular floral display. Also known as Amaryllis, these large and beautiful flowers appear in an array of vibrant colours, from rich reds and pinks to pristine whites and striking multicoloured patterns. Produced in Spring and Summer from bare bulbs, these magnificent blooms can last for several weeks, providing a prolonged display of beauty. As the flowers are dying off the attractive, glossy foliage adds ornamental value to the garden or pot for the remainder of the warmer months before dying off in Winter.

Hippeastrums are incredibly easy to grow, making them perfect for both novice and experienced gardeners, and look fantastic in pots containers or in clumps as a garden display. Bulbs can be grown indoors for flowering and then placed outside to complete their growth cycle ensuring ongoing enjoyment of the beautiful flowers every year.

These plants demand minimal care, thriving with reasonably bright light, watering when soil is dry, and fertilising during their vegetative growth phase. Select a well-drained soil or potting mix, and ensure bulbs are planted with the top 1/3 of the bulb above the soil level.

Supplied as dormant bulbs.
