Gerberas

With an extremely long vase life Gerberas will add charm to any room or garden with brilliant colours and large flowers.
Ideal in a pot, massed in a huge tub or taking their place in a warm protected garden bed. Flowering during Spring in warmer regions and through Summer into Autumn in cooler temperate regions. Prefers a full sun position in well-drained soil. Plant with crown at soil level and pick the flowers by plucking the entire flower stem out as this will eliminate a rotting stem introducing disease to the crown.

**Ellepot Growcells are similar to Jiffy pots making them perfect for reducing transplanting shock as the root system of the plant does not get disturbed when planting out.
For shipping we are sitting them into a 50mm Forestry tube as this will prevent them from drying out in transit and it also means we can put the plants into our plastic shippers to keep them secure in the mail.
On arrival your Gerbera plants will be fine being left in the pot for up to a week or so after receiving them but care needs to be taken to stop the growing media from drying out- regular watering is essential.
For planting out simply remove the pot from your Gerbera, leaving the Growcell intact, and plant directly into the ground in a sheltered position or place it into a larger pot with a good quality potting mix.
