Aquilegia Earlybird Red & Yellow
68mm Pot

Adding bright and cheery colours to a cottage garden, Aquilegia Earlybird Red and Yellow (Aquilegia x cultorum) are showing off two toned flowers with red ‘bonnets’ above pretty lemon yellow centres.

The Earlybird Aquilegia are new series that features upward facing flowers on relatively short flower stems held above well mounded plants. With a low cold requirement this series grows well in a warmer climate meaning gardeners in nearly every climate can now enjoy these delightful cottage plants. Gardeners in cooler climates will be able to enjoy earlier flowers than with the traditional Aquilegia varieties.

Also known as Grannys Bonnets or Columbines, Aquilegia are clump forming perennial with delicate fan shaped foliage. The flower stems rise above the foliage and spurred bell shaped blooms nod gently in the breeze making a very pretty long lasting shown. Ideal for cottage gardens, borders and pots. Aquilegias are a timeless classic well suited to most climates. Prefers a full sun to part shade position.

Supplied as a potted plant.
