Tilia Linden Tree

Also known as Small-Leaved Lime or Little Leaf Linden, Tilia Linden Tree is a medium to large deciduous tree admired for its elegant form, fragrant flowers, and striking seasonal colour. The dark green, heart-shaped foliage turns brilliant lime and golden tones in Autumn, adding vibrant colour to the landscape. In Summer, clusters of tiny, creamy white flowers appear, filling the air with a sweet scent and providing a valuable food source for honey bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

This attractive, spreading tree is well suited to most soil conditions and makes an excellent shade tree for large gardens, parks, and street plantings. It grows best in well-drained, well-worked soil. When planting, take care to position the bud union above soil level. Water thoroughly and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. For best results, fertilise at planting and again once new growth appears. Prune lightly at planting to encourage strong early development.
