Mulberry Black - Treeling

A classic deciduous fruiting tree, Mulberry Black is a self-pollinating fast growing tree valued for its richly flavoured, deep purple-black berries and broad, spreading canopy. The fruit is sweet, juicy, and aromatic, ripening in summer and ideal for fresh eating, preserves, and desserts. The fruit ripens over an extended period from late Spring to early Autumn, rather than all at once meaning the harvest can be spread out over many months. Fruit needs to be picked when ripe (black) as it does not ripen once harvested. Mulberries are very cold hardy, but will also reliably produce fruit in the warmer climates.

Beyond its productive nature, the Mulberry tee also offers excellent ornamental appeal, with large, textured green leaves that provide dense shade through the warmer months before turning yellow in autumn. Its naturally gnarled and characterful form adds structure and presence to the garden, making it both a productive and visually appealing feature tree.
