A very fast growing, frost tolerant, deciduous shrub, Forsythia is perfect for growing as a shrub border or hedge. Planting them 50-60cm apart will allow them to grow into a dense natural hedge. Also suitable as a colourful ornamental plant, or as a screening plant. Pruning after flowering will give it a good shape and encourage new flower growth. Prefer a full sun position to part shade position in well drained soil, althoughc for best flower production select a full sun position.
