Eucalyptus (Corymbia ) Mini Red

Grafted onto dwarfing rootstock, Eucalyptus (Corymbia) Mini Red is a small growing tree that has all the attributes of a full sized Corymbia ficifolia and the added bonus of amazingly large red flowers followed by ornamental gumnuts. Bird attracting bright red flowers from December to March, and the grafting guarantees flower colour. Foliage has a weeping habit with a canopy covered with flowers.  Nectar eating birds find this irresistible.  Hardy in all well drained soil types protect from frost while young.  Drought hardy once established.

Also known as the Flowering Gum, or even Eucalyptus ficifolia, Corymbia ficifolia is possibly one of THE very best flowering Gum trees available, however the mature size of these trees means that gardeners with a normal sized backyard have to select other varieties of this stunning tree. Thanks to grafting techniques it is available in a much smaller tree.
