Olive Verdale is a smaller growing tree that has a slightly weeping habit than other Olive varieties, giving a lovely ornamental value to this tree. The small silvery green leaves and dense growth habit makes this a valued addition to the landscape. Ideal for planting as a feature tree, clipped as a hedge, and easily trained to grow as an espalier or a standard; Verdale Olives are also an excellent fruiting tree so you really can have it all!

Originating in the south of France, Verdale produces large bright green olives with he slightest pink blush. Cropping heavily in alternate years, the fruit is ready for harvest from March through to September. Preferring a warmer climate but a cold Winter, Verdale can withstand coastal conditions and periods of drought once established.

Olives are an attractive evergreen shrub to small tree with attractive silver grey foliage and small white flowers in Spring. Requiring a full sun position and suitable for a wide range of soils and climates, these plants are drought and frost tolerant once established, but for best fruit production regular watering is recommended.
