Also known as Indian Hawthorn, the naturally compact habit of this plant makes it a great choice for formal or informal hedging and the masses of fragrant white and pink flowers create a beautiful spectacle for many months of the year in warmer climates. Flowering well in both full shade and part shade, Rhaphiolepis will tolerate frost, wind, poor soils and salt spray making it very hardy and versatile performer.
For best results plant into a well drained soil and fertilise after flowering. Ensure plant is well watered during dry spells.
