A fantastic evergreen Ginger suitable for cooler climates, Ginger Dwarf Cardamom is a hardy, easy to grow clumping Ginger that features thick lush green foliage that has a delightful fragrance which is released when the leaves are brushed or rubbed. Smelling like a cross between the beautiful Cardamon spice and lemons, the foliage of this tropical looking plant can be used in cooking, where the delicate flavours are perfect in desserts, to flavour rice or use as a wrapping for fish. Dried leaf can be used as a herbal tea. Ginger Dwarf Cardamom shows off edible white shell-like flowers in Summer, leading to one of it's common names of Shellflower.
