Our Fuchsia Compact Double Upright Collection is a selection of 4 beautiful Fuchsia plants (seperately labelled), that have stunning Double flowers and a compact upright growth habit that makes them ideal for growing in smaller pots and containers.

Vivienne Christine - A Double Lax type with a compact bushy growth habit suitable for baskets or growing in a sheltered garden bed. This pretty variety has pale pink sepals and a pale pink corolla edged with lilac.

Wonder Violet - A beautiful Double Lax bush variety with an upright, bushy growth habit and medium-sized blooms produced throughout most of the year. Its eye-catching flowers feature rich deep cerise-pink sepals elegantly surrounding a vibrant violet corolla, creating a striking colour contrast.

Weald View Minuet - A Double Lax type with a compact bushy growth habit that features pink sepals and a white corolla veined with pink.

Weald View Opal - A Double Upright bush with a compact bushy growth habit and stunning flowers. The pale pink to white sepals and a double pale lilac corolla make this large flowered variety a pretty hanging basket or pot specimen.

For best results choose a basket that drains well; preferably one with a fibre liner to keep the root system cool in Summer. Use a premium potting mix and a controlled release formula to ensure healthy growth. Prune at the end of winter, later if in a frosty area, and trim plants at the beginning of January for Autumn and early Winter flowers. Ensure baskets are grown in a semi-shaded area, away from hot Summer sun and drying winds.

Fuchsias are a very rewarding plant to grow and they display their magnificent flowers prominently for a very long time and grow in a wide range of sheltered positions. Whilst the main flush of flowers is during early Summer, most Fuchsias will show off their magnificent flowers for most of the year.

Trailing and Lax varieties prefer wire baskets lined with coco fibre or tall or raised pots and tubs, as they have a low growing or trailing habit. Lax Bush and Upright Bush varieties are suitable for baskets, pots and protected gardens as these have a more upright habit.

Fuchsias need a sheltered dappled shade position and shelter from damaging and drying winds. Use a premium free draining potting mix and keep the roots cool and drained. For best growth feed regularly and ensure plants never dry out, particularly in the warmer weather. Prune hard in August and tip prune in January, and always feed after pruning to encourage a flush of new growth.
