Euphorbia Myrsinites- Myrtle Spurge

Commonly known as Donkey Tail Spurge or Creeping Spurge, Euphorbia Myrsinites- Myrtle Spurge is a low-growing, mat-forming succulent perennial. This low sprawling plant has fleshy, bluish-green leaves arranged in a distinctive spiral along trailing stems, creating a geometric, almost reptilian look to it, and it produces eye-catching chartreuse or yellow-green bracts in early Spring, which are often mistaken for flowers. The true flowers are small and nestled within these colorful bracts. The foliage is evergreen in milder climates and adds a strong architectural element to xeric landscapes.

Euphorbia myrsinites thrives in full sun and well-drained, even rocky or poor soils, making it ideal for rock gardens and dry slopes. Once established, it is extremely drought-tolerant and requires minimal care. However, it self-seeds readily and can become somewhat invasive under favorable conditions.
