Hydrangea Deep Purple (PBR)

Hydrangea Deep Purple (SchrollA02) is an award-winning, compact Hydrangea prized for its spectacular, intensely coloured flower heads and lush, deep green foliage. Producing masses of large blooms throughout Summer and into Autumn, this striking variety makes a beautiful feature in garden beds, large pots and patio containers.

Flower colour varies according to soil pH. In acidic soils, the blooms develop their richest deep purple tones, while more alkaline conditions encourage deep red shades. For the strongest purple colouring, growers recommend maintaining a soil pH below 5. Hydrangea colour-enhancing fertilisers may also be used to help influence the intensity and tone of the flowers.

With a naturally compact habit, Hydrangea Deep Purple grows to approximately 1m tall in the garden and can be maintained at around 50–60cm when grown in a container. Its generous flower heads and attractive dark green foliage make it ideal for patios, verandahs, feature pots, mass plantings and shaded garden borders.

Plant in a position with morning sun and protection from the hot afternoon sun. Avoid heavy shade and keep the soil consistently moist, particularly during warm weather and while plants are flowering. Suitable for garden beds and large pots or containers.

CAUTION: Harmful if eaten. Skin & eye irritant.
