Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are one of the easiest plants to grow.
Daylilies will grow in almost any climate in Australia. They need little maintenance and when established are quite drought tolerant. Whilst each individual bloom lasts only one day. Daylilies are one of the most popular abd easy to grow sun-loving flowering plants. They need 5 – 7 hours of sun every day and respond well to lots of organic matter in the soil and love thick mulch. Grow them as a border, in pots, around the edge of ponds or even on steep banks. They are well suited to pots and containers and once established require little water.
