Ctenanthes are striking tropical foliage plants prized for their beautifully patterned leaves, contrasting colours and lush appearance.
Closely related to Calatheas, these decorative plants feature an impressive range of foliage in shades of green, silver, cream and burgundy, making them a standout addition to indoor plant collections.
Depending on the variety, Ctenanthes may feature bold stripes, delicate feathered patterns, contrasting veins or colourful leaf undersides. Their attractive foliage provides year-round interest and makes them ideal for decorative pots, indoor displays and tropical-style plant collections.
Ctenanthes prefer warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light and protection from harsh direct sunlight. They appreciate consistent moisture and a well-drained growing medium, making a warm, protected indoor position ideal for keeping their foliage looking its best.
