Clivia Peach Pastel shows off large heads of soft peachy orange flowers with a creamy yellow throat.

A reliable performer under tough conditions, Clivia is a very good plant for a shady dry position. Also known as Kaffir Lily, this evergreen clump forming plant with dark green strap like leaves produces large heads of orange/ brick red flowers in Spring once mature. Clivias require a well drained soil and a frost free position. They love filtered light but will tolerate heavy shade and still grow well making them a great choice for planting under trees or in dark corners.

For best results ensure Clivias do not receive too much water, particularly over the cooler months, but plants will grow well with regular watering in the heat of Summer. Clivias like a restricted root run so they are also good for growing in pots. They can be kept in a low light position indoors, on deep verandahs or under the eaves. Clivias dislikes frost and excess root disturbance so they may take a bit of time to settle in once repotted.
