Showing off distinctive variegated foliage that starts off yellow before fading to white with a green edge, Alstroemeria Rock and Roll® is a stunning and bold addition to both the garden and vase. Showing off long stems of vibrant dark red flowers, this dramatic colour combination – the green, white and red – means Rock & Roll Alstroemeria is an absolute show stopper; making it a perfect plant to decorate with at festive times of year, and any time your garden or vase needs a lift of colour.

The eye-catching foliage opens yellow, then fades to white, all the while sporting a contrasting deep green edge. Masses of 60-70mm (up to 2¾") dark red flowers are held on multiple showy white stems, and flowering repeats from Spring through to late Autumn, meaning this amazing plant will create show stopping colour all year round.

Rock & Roll grows well in both full sun and part shade, where the amazing foliage will brighten up any position it is planted into. Once plants are established and flowering, pulling spent flower stems out from the base encourages more flowers. To promote new vigorous growth, cut to ground level in late Winter.

Tough and reliable, Alstroemeria are drought hardy and will tolerate light frosts. These attractive clumping plants will flower prolifically for up to nine months of the year in most climates. Capable of surviving with little to no maintenance at all, these very long lasting flowers do not have a fragrance, making them ideal for growing in a picking garden or in a garden bed where their abundance of cheery flowers can be easily seen. Suitable for large pots or containers garden beds and borders, Alstroemeria Rock & Roll is a showy plant bred to produce masses of blooms and remain compact and bushy throughout the growing season. Alstroemeria flowers best with regular watering during the warmer months, and an application of complete fertiliser in early Spring before the flowering season, and once again in Autumn to help them flush on into the Winter months.
