Alocasia

Alocasia are striking tropical plants prized for their dramatic foliage, bold shapes and impressive variety of colours and patterns.

Often known as Elephant Ears, these eye-catching plants make a beautiful feature in indoor plant collections, patios and sheltered tropical-style gardens.

Depending on the variety, Alocasia foliage can range from rich glossy green through to deep green, silver and almost black, with many varieties featuring contrasting veins, unusual textures and distinctive leaf shapes. Their architectural appearance makes them an excellent choice for adding a lush, tropical feel to your home or garden.

Alocasia prefer warm, humid conditions with bright indirect light or a protected, partly shaded position. They grow best in a well-drained growing medium and appreciate consistent moisture during active growth while avoiding constantly waterlogged conditions.
