Coleus Main Street Alligator Alley

Coleus Main Street® Alligator Alley is a bold and vibrant foliage plant that delivers outstanding colour and texture to gardens, containers and landscape displays. Its striking deep burgundy to mahogany leaves feature vivid rose-pink centres and bright lime-green margins, creating a dramatic display wherever it is planted.

Part of the exceptional Main Street® Coleus series, Alligator Alley combines eye-catching foliage with reliable garden performance. Its compact, upright habit and excellent tolerance of both full sun and shade make it a versatile choice for a wide range of garden settings. Whether featured in decorative pots, patio containers, borders or mass plantings, it provides continuous colour throughout the season without relying on flowers.

Easy to grow and low maintenance, Coleus Main Street® Alligator Alley thrives in garden beds, mixed plantings and containers, where its vivid foliage creates beautiful contrast with flowering annuals and perennials. The vibrant leaf colours intensify with good light, making it an ideal choice for gardeners seeking long-lasting colour and dramatic foliage effects.

This striking variety is prized for its unique combination of lime-green and burgundy-red foliage, excellent performance in both sunny and shaded positions, and its neatly branched, upright growth habit. It is equally at home in containers, borders and mixed garden beds, where it provides season-long interest and complements a wide range of plants and garden styles.

Garden Express Tip: Remove flower spikes as they appear to encourage bushier growth and maintain the plant's spectacular foliage colour throughout the growing season.
